Mobile Mini Tank + Pump Solutions is pleased to announce it has teamed up with Progress Solar Solutions LLC of Apex, NC to introduce solar-powered light towers to its rental equipment fleet. Howard Nute, President of Mobile Mini Tank + Pump Solutions, believes these innovative units present a more cost-effective, greener solution to the diesel-powered portable light towers found in most rental companies’ inventories.
“We understand there are real and substantial costs to fueling and maintaining the conventional light towers that have been the industry standard for decades.” says Mr. Nute. “In joining with Progress Solar Solutions, we’re presenting companies with a viable, competitive product that offers all of the lighting performance our customers need while requiring absolutely no additional operating or fueling costs.” Mobile Mini Tank + Pump Solutions plans to both rent and sell the units in the construction, industrial, municipal and mining markets where they have already established their role as a preferred supplier of pumps, pipe, tanks and more. Mr. Nute also sees a substantial opportunity in the special events sector.
Utilizing state-of-the-art LED and solar lighting technology, Progress Solar Solutions has developed these fully automatic, entirely noiseless and emissions-free light towers. With the touch of a button, these solar light towers can be programmed to turn on and shut off at pre-determined times or even respond to changes in sunlight at dusk and dawn.
Mobile Mini Tank + Pump Solutions believes this product will gain rapid prominence and popularity as more contractors and companies are exposed to the benefits of portable, solar-powered lighting.
“The response [to these units] has been fantastic,” Mr. Nute adds. “The aspects of no fuel, no noise and virtually no ongoing service requirements make them a ‘no-brainer’ in the sun-drenched southwest.”

The Phoenix branch of Mobile Mini Tank + Pump Solutions designed and installed a pumping system in southern Utah in March 2011 for Washington-based Environmental Quality Management, Inc. and their Skyline Mine cleanup project. This pumping system includes nearly 5000′ of HDPE discharge pipe, two Godwin HL4M Dri-Prime high head pumps and multiple storage tanks to bring water 600′ uphill along very tight dirt road switchbacks and rocky hillside spans for EQM crews at the work site. Along with this equipment, a 4″ CD100M Dri-Prime pump and a 4″ load stand have been installed at the top of the mountain for easy water truck filling. This pumping system will continue to deliver jobsite water for many months to come.
